Finally – OG, the two-time Dota 2 World Champion, unveils his own Counter-Strike team. Two familiar faces from the Dota scene take over the leadership.
It has long been suspected that OG is planning the next step in eSports. Recently OG Seed was founded as an own junior team in Dota 2 to secure the future of the Main Roster. Not least, the organisation provided a novelty with the back-to-back victory at the most important Dota tournament of the year; titles and successes are not to come to an end in the future either.
Initially, however, all eyes will be on the newly founded Counter-Strike team. This consists of some well-known personalities from the scene who have already gained international experience and won one or two titles.
Dota 2 World Champion as Team Leader
Apart from the players, the organisation behind the team is also well known. Two of the reigning Dota 2 champions, Johan “n0tail” Sundstein and Sebastian “Ceb” Debs, are in charge of the CS:GO ruster. It was also Sundstein who founded OG 2015 under the name (monkey) Business before it was renamed OG a little later. So far the organization started exclusively in Dota 2, but now expanded its own portfolio with a CS:GO, team.
The following players were signed by OG:
-Nathan Jordan “NBK-” Schmitt
-Aleksi Antti Kaarlo “Aleksib” Virolainen
-Valdemar Bjørn “valde” Vangså
-Issa Sameer Issa “ISSAA” Murad
-Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski
OG itself set records in Dota 2 with victories at The International 2018 and The International 2019. Never before has a team won the World Championship twice, let alone in a row.
