A particularly exciting week in which a lot has happened comes to an end. There were plenty of surprises both in the summoner’s gulf and in the organisations’ offices. But what happened on the second and last matchday of the week? We’ll tell you in our summary!
Schalke 04 with a compulsory victory against Excel
If Schalke 04 still wants to play in the playoff race, then they need one thing: victories. And it’s exactly such an obligatory victory you could at least win against Excel. So bad news for all Excel fans who are still waiting for their team’s first victory in the LEC Summer Split. Good news for the fans of the German organisation Schalke 04. They are currently in fourth place in the table and were able to sit ahead of Origen.
Misfits Gaming back on the upswing?
After the first mission of the Misfits Academy team was not crowned with success (they lost against Splyce), they could show themselves in the second game against the FNATIC conqueror Rogue from a better side and win. The Misfits organisation, which titled the victory via Twitter “The Int is out”, can finally breathe a sigh of relief again. How it will go on and whether the Academy Team will take over the complete split is still unclear. We will keep you up to date.
Vitality defeats Origen with old strength
There was a little surprise during the game between Vitality and Origen. Vitality was one of the stronger teams in the last splits and was even allowed to go to the Worlds last year. All the more bizarre is the diss year situation because you are currently in the lower half of the table. Origen, who among others showed a great performance at the Rift Rivals, could only win five out of ten games. The encounter between the two teams looked like a balanced match until Vitality found their strength and an unnoticed Baron Nashor took over the game. It will be interesting to see if they will play as well against Splyce next week.
FNATIC victorious again with Rekkles
FNATIC had lost in the first game of the week against Rogue due to questionable roster changes. In the second game of the round, they decided to play again with the well-known line-up. Thus ‘Rekkles’ was again ADC and ‘Nemesis’ back on the Midlane. Also ‘Bwipo’ and ‘Hylissang’ had a better day, which finally gave them a clear victory against SK Gaming and a stronger look into the next week when they will face Misfits Gaming and Origen.
G2 eSports still unstoppable
In the beginning, everything looked like a game at eye level. G2 had problems taking the lead and playing out their dominance. Splyce proved once again that they are currently one of the strongest teams in the LEC and made it very difficult for G2. G2 could finally prove their individual dominance and situational adaptability and punish small mistakes of Splyce ice cold. In the end, another match goes to the leader of the standings, who can hold the lead over FNATIC and seems invincible at the moment.
