Giannis Antetokounmpo manages a triple-double in the victory of the Milwaukee Bucks over the Portland Trail Blazers. At the same time, he overtook an NBA legend.
The current NBA-MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo has overtaken an NBA legend in the 137-129 victory of his Milwaukee Bucks against the Portland Trail Blazers.
With 24 points, 19 rebounds and a career record of 15 assists, the Greek managed his second triple-double of the season.
The “Greek Freak” (2,019 assists) is now in the perpetual assistant ranking of the Bucks ahead of NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who came up with 2,008 basket patterns in his six years with the Bucks from 1969-1975.
In addition to Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe scored 30 points and six assists.
Anthony increases
On the other side, Carmelo Anthony showed in his second game for the Blazers a performance increase and came to 18 points (6/15) and seven rebounds. Topscorer was CJ McCollum with 37 points.
In the absence of Damian Lillard, Hassan Whitside, Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic, Skal Labissiere showed a strong performance from the bench with 22 points, twelve rebounds and five blocks.
But the injured Portland could never jeopardize the Bucks’ victory as they were not even in the lead during the whole game. Milwaukee is now in the first place due to their success in the east, but have played one game more than Boston Celtics. The Blazers, on the other hand, is penultimate in the west.
