SK Gaming and Rogue make it exciting: Yesterday, Friday, both teams were able to claim the important victories for the fight for the playoffs. Furthermore, Fnatic defended second place in a thrilling match against their direct competitor Splyce.
The last matchday in the League of Legends European Championship is a tough one. Four teams are still fighting for the playoffs. Even before the start of their match, a defeat of Team Vitality against Misfits Gaming ensured that SK Gaming can still dream of the playoffs.
No wonder that SK Gaming went into the match against Excel Esports motivated. They controlled the match the whole time and won the match after the first Baronbuff.
Then Rogue and Origen faced each other in a match that was also relevant for the playoffs. While Origen became vice-champion in the Spring Split, Rogue only had the last place left. Actually a possible match for Origen, but they couldn’t get back to their spring form by the end of the split. As a result, they did not make it in this match, and Rogue took home the important victory.
Team Vitality, Origen and Rogue are levels on points with seven wins today, closely followed by SK Gaming with six wins. SK Gaming can only make it into the top 6 with a tiebreaker, but must first beat Origen in a direct duel. Rogue has a difficult task ahead of him with Fnatic, while Team Vitality will play against Schalke 04. So the fight for the playoffs remains exciting. From 5 pm you can watch the games in the livestream.
