The guarantee at the SSOP Main Event at Banco Casino is already blown. Vlado Valent goes as Chipleader in day 2.
The Banco Casino Bratislava is currently hosting the Slovak Series of Poker (SSOP) Festival. On Saturday two further starting days of the €200+€20 SSOP Main Event stood on the program, with which prize money of €150,000 is guaranteed. By Saturday morning there were already 467 entries on the clock, and there were still 323 starts missing to reach the guaranteed sum.
Around 3 pm it was called then “Shuffle up and Deal” with the day 1e. Here there were 40.000 in chips, and you had to survive 14 levels of 40 minutes each, and at the end of the day, 53 players were allowed to bag their chips for day 2. Eric Weingartner secured the chip lead of day 1e with 507,000 (101.5 big blinds).
In the evening around 9 pm day 1f was played as Turbo Flight. Here the mode was identical with that of day 1e, only that the blinds were increased every 20 minutes. 70 players didn’t want to miss this fast pleasure, and 17 of them made the jump to day 2. The chip lead of day 1f went to Michal Hudec with 402.000 (80,5 Big Blinds).
Before the last start day one, 820 entries were already booked, and the guarantee sum was clearly exceeded with 164,000. A total of 161 protagonists have qualified for day 2 to date. Vlado Valent holds the overall chip lead with 686,500 (137.5 big blinds). Since no nationalities are given to us, we cannot say with certainty how many DACH players are still in the race. Spontaneously we noticed the Austrians Daniel Feirer, Erich Weingartner, Patrick Möslinger, Erich Schiel and Sigi Rath.
On Sunday at 4 pm the day 2 starts at level 15 with blinds 2.500/5.000 (Big Blind Ante). Level times are increased to 50 minutes. The average after day 1f is 203,727 (41 big blinds).
