The former Fnatic and SKT top planner Seung-Hoon “Huni” Heo is facing a spectacular contract extension at Dignitas. The contract is worth 2.3 million US dollars.
Next season Clutch Gaming under the flag of Dignitas will start in the LCS. Already last season the team wore yellow-black jerseys, now the complete re-branding will take place.
More money for “Huni”
Promptly at the beginning of the off-season, ESPN reported on a new megadeal for the toplaner of the American team. The vice world champion of 2017, Seung-Hoon “Huni” Heo (with SK telecom T1), will sign a highly endowed contract for two years.
A sum of 2.3 million US dollars will be traded. This would make “Huni” one of the best-paid professionals in the North American LCS. Also, the contract extension means that “Huni” would remain with a team for longer than a year for the first time.
His previous positions at Fnatic, SKT and Echo Fox each ended after two splits at the latest. At the age of 21, the South Korean still has a few seasons ahead of him and enough chances to win bigger titles.
The standing of the LCS, however, has fallen considerably in the year. Especially at the Worlds the North American teams revealed big deficits and lost to the other big regions partly in a disastrous manner.
So even for Dignitas, it won’t be a big deal if the organisation wants to be successful nationally and internationally in the coming season.
