In December 2017, he was the first eSportsman to sign his contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen officially. The club wants to keep him.
In the coming season, the two eSports professionals Fabian “B04_DUBZJE” De Cae and Marvin “B04_M4RV” Hintz will continue to represent the colours of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
After the Werksklub already extended the contract with Xbox player “B04_DUBZJE” by one season a few days ago, Marvin “B04_M4RV” Hintz has now also been bound for another year.
The 23-year-old PlayStation professional signed a contract valid until June 30th, 2023, and is now entering his third season with the cross on his chest.
“I’m delighted that I can continue to represent the colours of Bayer 04 in the future and will do everything I can both in the upcoming playoffs and in the new season to achieve our common goals,” says Hintz, who will be competing with the other 59 best PlayStation players in the world for a ticket to the FIFA World Cup (FIFA eWorld Cup) at the Global Series play-offs in Berlin next weekend (12 to July 14th).

“We wanted to go into the new FIFA season with Marvin. He comes from Leverkusen, identifies 100 per cent with the club and knows what we value as a club,” says Florian Dederichs, Head of Brand and Sales Management at Bayer 04.
Hintz, who became the first eSportsman in the company’s club history in December 2017, qualified for the top international tournaments in Atlanta (5th FUT Champions Cup ), London (Licensed Qualifying Event), Manchester (eChampions League) and Bucharest (3rd FUT Champions Cup) last season.
