The Gaming Control Board gave GVC Holdings Plc. the green light for a sports betting license in the US state. On May 23 will be the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Since the lifting of the sports betting ban in the USA, there has been an atmosphere of optimism. Numerous established bookmakers are now gaining a foothold on the American market. These include William Hill, Paddy Power Betfair and bet365.
GVC now has good prospects of establishing itself in Nevada. The Gaming Control Board agreed to a provisional license. It should be noted, however, that the decision was tight.
With Terry Johnson, one of the three chairmen voted against the license. The reason for this was ruled violations. In particular, a late withdrawal of Ladbrokes from Turkey was reprimanded by Johnson. GVC took over Ladbrokes Coral Group Plc. in March 2018, but needed until November to leave Turkey.
