The €150 Mammoth of the Irish Poker Series (IPS) will bring €200,000 in guaranteed prize money to Dublin at the end of May. PokerStars offers not only satellites but also two online flights.
For the first two tournaments, the prize pool was between €140,000 and €150,000. This time, the IPS is even awarding €200K GTD for its flagship event. There are a total of twelve starting days for the €150 tournament.
Two of them will take place on PokerStars. On May 23rd and 28th there will be a flight at 20:35. One out of eight players moves on. Per flight, there is the option on a Re-Entry. For only €22 there is the possibility to qualify for a flight. PokerStars guarantees five seats per satellite.
The Mammoth is played at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin. Participants receive a discount if they book a room locally. Otherwise, Bonnington is centrally located and easily accessible by bus and train.
There are eight regular live flights and two turbos. It is possible to take one re-entry per flight. Each starting day the number of participants is reduced to 12.5%. Whoever makes it to day 2 is in the money.
Day 2 will be played on June 2nd (Sunday), the final will take place on June 3rd (Monday). Side events are the €120 NLHE PKO (2 June) and the €120 20/20 Challenge (3 June).
