The latest Fortnite update has the potential to turn the game upside down with a new weapon and some changes.
After today’s downtime, there are again some changes at Fortnite that will be especially interesting for competitive players. Today a new weapon was unveiled whose existence had been rumoured since the last update.
The replacement for the Pumpshotgun is here
The tactical assault rifle, which will be used in the future for fighting in confined spaces, has been added to the game.
The weapon is now available in rare, epic and legendary variations. The magazine with 30 rounds is equipped with full automatic, and the damage over 22/23/24 can be topped with a headshot multiplier of 1.75. The game is now available in rare, epic and legendary variations.
Epic Games responds to fan requests
Also, other weapons, which were criticized by the community, have been adapted in this update.
For example, the Kugler’s condition has been reduced from 200 to 150. The drum rifle, which has been considered a nuisance by many competitive players since it returned from the vault, has also been reduced from 26/27 to 22/23.
The smallest machine pistol, on the other hand, was completely put back into the vault and is therefore not to be found in the game for the time being.
The new wind tunnels introduced in the ninth season have also been changed. Thus, players flying in wind tunnels will from now on destroy buildings erected by other players by their impact in flight. In addition, the channels will now be completely deactivated after the 5th Storm Phase.
In competitive play, this update will now open up new strategies and provide a more balanced basis for melee combat thanks to the new weapon.
